We are a research institute accommodating a wide range of research areas, testbeds and demonstration facilities as well as 2800 problem solvers.

IMY is a public authority. Our task is to protect the individual's privacy in the information society. IMY works to prevent encroachment upon privacy through information and by issuing directives and codes of statutes. We also handle complaints and carry out inspections. By examining government bills, IMY ensures that new laws and ordinances protect personal data in an adequate manner.

SIS acts as project manager for Swedish efforts to develop standards. We strive to increase Sweden's influence on international collaboration and to ensure that best practices are shared and leveraged throughout Sweden.

We also offer training, services and products that help our customers to develop their businesses and create societal benefits with the help of standards.
